Sonny Kinsey went home to the Lord on Friday, Sept. 14, 2018, at his home in Lenore, after fighting lung cancer for two and a half years.

The cancer was a result of being exposed to Agent Orange during the Vietnam War. Sonny advocated for veterans' benefits throughout his life.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. today at Southwick Bible Church, 40192 Southwick Road., Kendrick.

He is lovingly survived by his wife, Kathy; sons Brian, Sean, Matt and Sonny IV; and daughters Michelle and Katie.
