Irene "Renie" Wachtel was born on Feb. 10, 1934, in Rathdrum, Idaho. She passed away on March 26, 2017, in Lewiston. Lewiston was her place of residence for 40-plus years.

She enjoyed traveling with her family and was an avid Gonzaga Bulldogs fan. She traveled to Las Vegas the past several years to watch the Zags play in the WCC tournaments.

Renie is survived by her four children, Connie Hintz and husband Danny of Deer Park, Wash., Valorie Bisher and husband Tom of Albany, Ore., Bob Wachtel of Henderson, Nev., and Mick Wachtel and wife Valerie of Lewiston; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was also survived by her brothers Arnold Bradbury and wife Marion of Rathdrum, Idaho, and Cleo Bradbury and wife Arlene of Bend, Ore.; her sisters-in-law, Roxy Martin of Spirit Lake, Idaho, and Margie Lang of Scappoose, Ore.; brothers-in-law Larry Wachtel and wife Felicia of Walla Walla, and Rod Wachtel and wife Kathy of St. Maries. She also had several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, Elwin and Grace Bradbury; husband Delbert Wachtel; and sister Florence Zahnow.

There will be a celebration of life from noon to 3 p.m. May 7 at the Lions Club in Rathdrum.
