James E. West, 78, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2022, at his home in Lewiston.

James was born to the late Don and Rosemary West, on Aug. 12, 1944, in Portland, Ore.

He married the love of his life, Ava Rae Whitinger, in 1970. They enjoyed their life together for 44 years, until her passing away, in July 2014. Even after her passing, he kept her close to his heart, until his passing, this October. They are together once again, as dad had longed for.

He is survived by two daughters, one sister and their extended families.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 12, at Lewis-Clark Memorial Gardens, 3521 Seventh St., Lewiston.

The family would like to give their thanks and appreciation to the staff at Kootenai Health and St. Joseph Regional Medical Center Family Hospice, for their loving and compassionate care for our loved one. Also extended thanks to Jason and Malcom's Brower-Wann Funeral Home.
