Obituary

Sharyn Elaine Marketti went to sleep the early morning of Sept. 28, 2026, in Spokane, and woke in the arms of her savior, Jesus Christ.

Sharyn was born on Aug. 26, 1994, in Salt Lake City, to John Larimer and Carolyn Saurey. She was the third born of eight siblings. Sharyn was blessed to travel the entire lower 48 states with family before settling in Kamiah at the age of 15.

Sharyn loved people. As a child she went out of her way to become friends with the friendless. At slumber parties, Sharyn and her mother would wake early to make breakfast for the party-goers. She was a member of the theater program at Kamiah High School, and was where she met the future love of her life Jason. Sharyn later moved to Auburn, Calif., at 18 and received her GED.

Years later Sharyn and Jason reconnected and married Sept. 11, 2019. No one could mistake the glow in Jason’s face whenever Sharyn walked into the room. She not only fell in love with Jason, but his son Dyson as well. She had a bond with him as strong as if he was blood of her blood. In 2021 they welcomed their second son Michael. The joy of Sharyn’s life, her little buddy. Sharyn and Jason attended Gateway Church in Lewiston, she came to every activity, every Bible study, every potluck. Her love of Christ and her church family reflected in everything she did.

The exclamation point of their little family came in the form of a strawberry-blonde little girl named Isabella. Born at 25 weeks gestation, Sharyn spent five months in Spokane by her baby’s side. There, Sharyn befriended staff at the Sacred Heart Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House.

Sharyn was deeply loved by all who knew her.

Sharyn was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Clinton Fullmer and paternal grandfather John Larimer. She is survived by her adoring husband Jason, their three children, Dyson, Michael and Ella; her parents John (Jennifer) Larimer and Carolyn (Dallin) Saurey; seven brothers and sisters, Isaac (Laura) Larimer, Casilyn (Yago) Silva, Myndie (Rhys) Chapman, Kaylyn (Pako) Ramos, Andrew Larimer, Natalien Larimer and Joseph Larimer; as well as nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 24, at Gateway Church, 707 Seventh Ave., Lewiston. A reception will follow.
