Teresa Mae Padilla, 73, left this world on Sunday, Dec. 17, 2023. She was born May 6, 1950, in Lewiston.

Enrolled as a member of the Nez Perce Tribe, Teresa spent many years on the Colville Reservation in Coulee Dam, Wash., where her mother worked as a nurse.

Teresa also went on to a lifelong career in nursing specializing in geriatrics. Those fortunate elders under her care benefited from her love, warmth and skill and those blessings were returned to her.

Teresa loved travel, music and art.

Upon retirement her goal was to return to her mother's reservation. She will be loved and missed.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 21, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 205 Birch Ave. E., Lapwai.
