Janet Colleen Linscott, age 91, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 31, 2026, in Lewiston.

Janet was born Feb. 4, 1935, in Lewiston, to Charles William Riddle and Elsie Marie (Riggers) Riddle. On Oct. 5, 1961, she married Robert C. Linscott. Together, they spent 26 years making memories.

Throughout her life, Janet was known for her strong work ethic and dedication. Over the years, she worked for Blue Shield of Idaho, Willett Brothers, Industrial Parts, Dr. Chamberlain and Inland Metals, where she earned the respect and friendship of many coworkers.

Janet spent her life devoted to family, friends and the activities she loved most. She was a familiar face on the bowling lanes for many years. She treasured summers spent at Sun Up Bay on Lake Coeur d’Alene. Janet was also an enthusiastic fan of the Seattle Seahawks and the Seattle Mariners, faithfully cheering on her teams through the years.

Above all, Janet loved her family. She is survived by her children: Mary Brown (Ron), of Springdale, Wash.; Robert Linscott (Stacy), of Clarkston; and Tracy Speck-Johnson (Brian), of Boise. She is also survived by her brothers, Myron D. Riddle and Dennis C. Riddle; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Janet was preceded in death by her husband, her parents; her brother, Gerald L. Riddle; and her sister, Margaret E. Kolb.

Janet will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her warm and caring nature, and the happiness she found in gathering with loved ones. Whether she was spending time at the lake, bowling with friends, or cheering on the Seahawks and Mariners, she embraced life with enthusiasm and joy. Her legacy lives on in her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.

The viewing will take place from 2-5 p.m., Friday, June 19, at Malcom’s Brower-Wann, 1711 18th St., Lewiston.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 20, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 920 Eighth Ave., Lewiston, with lunch to follow.
